What To Expect
Interning at U+A presents a valuable opportunity to enhance each student’s education through high-quality professional practice, directing their academic training toward a focused career path. U+A’s internship programs encompass various disciplines, providing trainees with an inspiring environment for learning and gaining invaluable work experience. These programs not only serve as a platform for aspiring professionals to showcase their talent but also facilitate the seamless transition of academic achievements into practical skills.
Within U+A’s architecture department, interns actively engage with teams that boast diverse backgrounds, professional focuses, and exciting projects. During their tenure, interns delve into the fundamentals of architectural design, practice presenting ideas, acquire an understanding of local regulations, and refine their software skills using applications such as Revit, Rhino, and Adobe CC. In essence, U+A’s architecture interns cultivate the mindset and proficiency needed to thrive as future architects.
Similarly, in the company’s interior design department, interns collaborate with our designers, participating in the preparation of presentations, engaging in concept and material research exercises (exploring the extensive materials palette available at the U+A office), and developing efficient use of Revit to bring designs to life.
Interns in U+A’s construction management team also embark on a unique journey, gaining hands-on experience on one of our ongoing projects. They acquire a skill set that transcends theoretical knowledge, learning how to apply their understanding of construction while directly interacting with builders in a real-life setting.
