Tiago Manuel Sampaio is a highly accomplished architect with nearly two decades of experience in architecture and urban design. Specializing in large-scale master planning, concept design, and high-profile architectural developments, he has played a pivotal role in shaping contemporary cityscapes. A graduate of Lusiada University in Lisbon with a Licentiate degree in Architecture, Tiago is a registered Architect and an esteemed member of the Portuguese Architects Council.

Throughout his 22-year career, Tiago has contributed significantly to various sectors of the architectural industry, including Stadia, Aviation, Residential, Hospitality, Education, and Commercial developments. His extensive international experience, spanning Portugal, England, Cyprus, and the UAE, has provided him with a global perspective that informs his approach to design and urban planning.

Since joining U+A in 2015, Tiago has been a driving force behind the firm’s design philosophy and strategic direction. Now serving as Design Principal, he leads master planning and concept design efforts, ensuring that each project is not only architecturally compelling but also seamlessly integrated into its urban environment. His expertise in large-scale developments has been instrumental in delivering transformative projects that redefine cityscapes and enhance the quality of urban life.

His portfolio includes landmark projects such as the Arabian Ranches IlI, Expo Valley in Dubai, Rosso Bay and Nikki Beach Residences in Ras Al Khaimah, Amaala Four Seasons in Saudi Arabia and more recently projects like Solea in Abu Dhabi and Verve City Walk in Dubai.  Each of these projects reflects his commitment to creating spaces that are both aesthetically and functionally exceptional.
