Shaped by nature, the Peninsula Offices are a corporate destination located at the heart of Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City. Inspired by the context, the office buildings sit on the south side of the peninsula, which is shaped by the extended branches of Wadi Hanifah. The architectural concept is inspired by the valley that runs through the project plots, forming an internal interactive spine between the buildings on both plots, and at the same time naturally forming the building’s internal elevation. The buildings are aimed to read differently and to have multiple perceptions from an architectural perspective.
The project consists of three commercial buildings together with a shared basement and public realm. Each building has sleek open office spaces with superior quality fitting in common areas containing all services to efficiently complement the tenants and the visitors’ needs. The development strives for sustainable practices and has targeted a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.
The form of these buildings is wrapped to show a neutral and straight outer façade, but the internal façade will have a more dynamic perception through the massing stepping and the irregular slab and glass outline. The concept is mainly configured to provide the users of the Peninsula Offices with an optimum indoor/outdoor work experience. As the lead consultant and design architect, U+A imagined that the destination itself will become an active zone through the lifeline journey.
The A-Grade “HQ” office buildings are located adjoining the Misk Foundation Headquarters, with which it will share below-grade connections. This strategic placement fosters collaboration and synergy between the Peninsula Offices and the Misk Foundation, further enhancing the ecosystem for innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth development within Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City.
